Successful Handover of Zimbabwe-aided Container Inspection Equipment Project

On October 18, 2013, the signing ceremony of the container inspection equipment project handover was successfully held in Harare. More than 240 governmental officers and representatives from all walks of life in Zimbabwe attended, including Zimbabwe's air force commander, finance minister, tax chief and so forth. Our ambassador to Zimbabwe Lin Lin and commercial counselor Han Bing attended.The functional demonstration on each set of equipment from NUCTECH was approved by the guests. Ambassador Lin Lin and Zimbabwe's finance minister on behalf of the two countries signed an equipment acceptance handover document and cut the ribbon for the equipment. This event was reported by Xinhua News Agency, China Radio International, Zimbabwe ZBC, NEWSDAY and other local media. 

Ambassador Lin said in the ceremony that, NUCTECH Lin contributed to China-Zimbabwe friendly relations by providing high quality inspection equipment which provides efficient technology means for goods inspection in The Tax Bureau of Zimbabwe. Zimbabwe's finance minister said in his speech that a high level of clearance process would promote the development of national economy, that China's container inspection equipment donated would provide technical support with respect to the goods inspection and smuggling prevention, making his country’s customs clearance service up to the worldwide level.
